Hey y'all so this week was pretty wet but still exciting.First off I had to drive us and Watertown Elders to Marshall in our little Malibu though a crazy rain storm, couldn't go the speed limit so we were a little late. Also we were in a Chevy so it was already hard enough. We had District Council and it was pretty good, only went over like 30 mins but hey it was a good discussion. We went on exchanges with the Marshall Elders and I was with Elder Thurman, it was pretty good, we did a lot of finding in the rain but found a few potentials! We went with the young mens to be "adult advisers" since they didn't have enough adults, really it was just 1 adviser and 2 more youth to worry about lol. We did research on the jobs that they wanted to do when they grew up and what type of school you would be best and what kind of living it would be like and yeah it was all sorts of information but it was fun. Thursday we literally cleaned out our area book, ever since I got to Brookings it says we were teaching 16 people... I've only met 2 of them so I tried and tried to contact these people but I had enough. we ended up dropping (or stopped teaching) 10 so now we can focus our efforts on people who actually want to listen! Later in the week we taught an inactive couple and retaught them the Plan of Salvation and it was really cool! We were able to drive to Elkton this week to have a dinner with a member family and it was sweet! little town and we actually had a few members that lived in it as well. Sunday was busy for us, we went to church and actually filled the Chapel for once because we had a farewell for 3 missionaries! A senior couple and a full time missionary are leaving from our ward and it was cool to hear the talks, the full time missionary shared an experience he had a few weeks ago with the full time missionaries in his ward, I thought to myself wow those are some cool missionaries taking out the Priests on team ups getting them ready for missions, then I realized it was me. haha It was sweet! The rest of the day was studies and finding, we did some finding around a super active member and all his neighbor knew who we were and didnt hate us! One guy tried to sell me his 2006 Ford F-150 with an exhaust kit and a "small tune" It was a cool truck, was white with some nice rims, and a leveling kit. We ended up praying with that dude and did more finding and visited a couple members. This week we have been working with a inactive member and helping get her life back on track slowly so we started with reading the scriptures, we do a Faith flip, its where you flip to a random page and read it. Both times we have done this it actually helped her learn! In my eyes it was God telling her to get her life back into the Gospel but she took it well! Next step is church attendance! Well thats it for today, Pday was pretty good, we found a store called Runnings, turns out its a Cal Ranch store and boy it was nice to walk around and see truck stuff and all sorts of fun things while Country music was playing in the background. I hope everyone has a great week!Elder PhelonpicsDistrict Council (without Hermanas)Runnings store
