Hey yall!So this past week was crazy! It all started with a super chill pday we tried to teach the Restoration using Pokemon cards... It sorta worked but the kid we were trying to teach was on a sugar rush. Our week got real with District Council, so I think Ive gotten the hang of things, but lets just say we all committed to becoming exactly obedient missionaries so we can see more miracles and be ready when we're needed! It was sweet. Afterwards I had a zoom call with all the new district leaders and President Ence to get up pumped for the work, and answer any of our questions we had. The rest of the week was trying people with interest and part member families and of course knocking doors. We have been finding the remaining population of Brookings here and there but most of them are gone, I swear all we knock on is empty apartments. while walking around a small neighborhood, we tried a person I found when I first showed up too Brookings and we got to meet her husband for the first time, it was a little awkward at first cause we're sitting on his porch talking to his wife and he comes home from work... well he had a cool car so I did what I do best and we got the hood popped open on that bad boy, it was a supercharged V6 Pontiac Grand Prix, he rebuilt the whole engine and boy it was cool. Ive never driven a car with a supercharger but I sure want too someday. I kept feeling prompted to find in a trailer park but Brookings has like 4-5 trailer parks and some are the getto get your car stuck in a pot hole and others are super nice with parking spots and mailboxes. so we went to a middle class one, and we knocked... and knocked and it was raining and cold but we found a sweet dude named Austin! he lives in Watertown but sorry McDouble! (Watertown Elders) he's moving to Brookings! Im super pumped to teach him! We taught the Restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon and he was super excited to read it! The rest of the week was finding, which was fun, I got to drive in a camp ground that was flooded to drop off a Book of Mormon in a free library, those are always fun. well thats it for today, sorry for the lack of pictures I forgot to take some during the week:(Elder PhelonFinding in the rainYeah.
