July 8, 2019 Wanna trade?

So not much has happened over the weekend.  just more missionary work.  Friday we went back to Brookings and tried some people with interest and weekly planning took up the rest of our day.  Saturday, we did a car fast around our apartment and it went really well, we didnt get to set up a lot of return appointments but we definitely made our presents know.  We were working in the "historic district" and all the houses are old.  turns out thats a big deal, we knocked one door and this guy opened the door then ran back into his house, moments later he opened his front door and said "your messing with the wrong guy fellas" and boom a 12 gauge shotgun was pointing at our faces!  nah just kidding, he whipped out his wallet and I was like sweet, he's gonna pay us!  instead he showed us a licence for a clergy minister thing for another church, I was like "cool bro!  I got one too!"  He was kinda surprised and told us to leave, so we asked for referrals, for anyone who was going though a hard time or might of just moved in, he was sure to tell us this was the "historic district" and nobody was struggling in this part of town.  He said try the trailer parks and used very colorful words and remarks that will go unsaid.  We wished him a good day and went to his neighbor who turns out just had heart failure.  Boom miracles.  We ended up setting up a return appointment and handing out a handful of pictures of Jesus.  We had a dinner appointment and it was sweet.  Afterwards we tried a handful of people and some of the yes list then headed home.  Sunday was pretty normal, we didn't have anyone make it to church, we did a few hours of finding, had dinner with a inactive member and used the yes list more.  so yeah, thats about it for today friends.  This next week is gonna be boomin, exchanges in Watertown and Zone Conference.  Hope yall have a great week!  I also forgot to mention, while finding on Sunday I found this sweet 2012 Ford F-150 (picture not included) that was a gloss black, we caught the guy outside in his yard, so of course I asked about his truck to open him up, now in past times everytime I ask about a truck they always mention its for sale.  and yeah, he offered to sell it to me.  I said we could trade cars, and I pointed at my malibu, now its a Ford Malibu so its already better than a chevy.  He wasnt too hyped for that trade but he was a nice guy.
