July 22, 2019 Babysitting and team ups

Hey yall so this week has been pretty good, tons of missionary work, wrapping up the transfer, you know life is good when its crazy

So to start off, last pday, pretty good, we went to dinner with our EQ president and brought Terry along for the ride and it was really good.  Tuesday and awesome, Bro Nguyen has been asking about all of our appointments and one day he invited himself as a team up, so we said yes of course, we set up 3 appointments back to back and bro Nguyen was behind the wheel so of course we were gonna be on time.  We taught a dude named Eric, super spiritual and sorta open mind.  we were able to teach the Restoration and he got hung up on Apostasy (a time were we lost something like the Church of Christ) but Bro Nguyen went to town and explained all the doctrine to Eric, he understood it but didn't like it.  It was a good lesson overall.  Our next appointment fell though sadly, but turns out Bro Nguyen had a back up plan... Tacos at Burger King?  Ew.  They were alright but yeah.  Our next appointment was with Terry, we taught about the law of tithing and Temples/family history work.  It was super sweet and again Bro Nguyen went down.  afterwards we had dinner with there whole family and it was a good time.  We played with a Alexa or Alexis depending on Bro Nguyens mood, we got a good laugh, so much that I cried.  We drove out to Marshall at the end of the night.  Wednesday was good, I got to interview a person for baptism in the morning (he passed and was dunked on sunday) then hold our last district council of the transfer.  It was fun, we had a bunch of training's by the Watertown Elders then Elder Bronson then myself.  We watched a video for safeguards for using technology, it was about a trunky elder who was miss using Facebook.  It was funny but we were able to have a good discussion and hopefully everyone learned something!   So now the boring part.  I had to babysit.  A set of elders have been struggling and how do they fix the problem.  Send E. Phelon.  yeah, lets send the DL in cause that will fix the problem.  Well hopefully it did, the Elders had a comp inventory in our living room for about a half hour, just yelling at each other and going ham.  Elder Bronson and I left the room it was bad.  learned some good advice, if you got problems, figure them out right away, cause its just gonna get worse.  Thursday we send those Elders back to there area, and ended up not doing much today besides trying people and going to Feeding Brookings the service we do each week.  Afterwards we drove to Elkton with Bro Cope to help a family move and that was pretty fun.  It started pouring rain and we all got stuck in the storage unit.  we got all of house moved though and we also got to help push a jeep down the street (not in the rain) cause they ran out of gas.  Friday, so turns out the interview I did, didnt get any paper work figure out while I was there, so I had to drive 45 mins to sign a paper.  geez planning and communication is critical people!  The drive was pretty nice though.  We had lunch at lake Hendricks and tired a couple people while the sun beated upon us.  The rest of the day was trying people and weekly planning.  Saturday, was the same, just trying people, we had a crazy wind storm take out a ton of trees and it blocked a ton of roads so it was like a maze trying to get around.  Tons of people change along with the weather, when its hot and humid, people are nice and friendly, when its dark and cooler, the people are angry and rude.  a few people called us out for "Soliciting"  Sunday was good, went to sacrament meetings, had a couple people come to church, it was a good day.  Miracle time, so a few days ago we got a call from a part member family, all the members were like, no way will this guy ever be baptized, never.  Well that guy called us and said I need to be baptized I received an answer to my prayer.  BOOM it was awesome!  He came to church with his family, we taught him the Restoration after church and he was soooooo prepared!  I could totally see a change in his attitude, he told us about his dealings with the Spirit early in the week, he drives Semi trucks and had a job at 3AM and the Spirit just drilled him so hard he couldn't refuse it.  It was a super cool experience, we relate because God uses trucks and equipment to talk to both of us lol.  We taught another new member lesson to Shang with the Copes and that was awesome as well.  Well thats it for today!  Love yall
