August 26, 2019 Back in Business

Hey yall, so the school year is started once again and so has the student like in Brookings, population went up a couple 3 thousand and yeah parties everywhere life is great.  So things got bumping on Tuesday to kick off the week, we taught Riggin, our solid adventurous guy and we shared the Plan of Salvation/Happiness, one of my favorite lessons!  We taught using a huge white board and it was awesome, his remarks at the end of the lesson were "it all makes sense now" oh man we were so pumped, he is also reading out of the Book of Mormon and says "yeah I could totally believe this is true because later on people crossed over to ancient america as well and they said people were already living there!  He also came to church and the ward actually did there job by fellow shipping him!  Wednesday, was pretty sweet, we saved up some miles by doing a car fast and went hard for about an hour around our apartment and it was sweet, we walked around trying people and talking to people on the streets.  We drove out to Volga which is about 20 mins away and spent the next 4 hours trying people and knocking around people who have showed interest in the past, it was pretty productive.  We had dinner then tried more people back in Brookings and finished the night meeting with the Ward mission leader since he was gone for 2 weeks.  Thursday, we went to feeding Brookings and it was a party, carrying boxes out to peoples cars, We packed and locked up our apartment and was trying members when we got a cal from the Watertown Elders telling us they were 20 mins away.... from Sioux Falls we were planning on carpooling to Sioux City for Zone Conference with Watertown but turns out they left way before us and yeah we were a little late.  Elder Hales was driving and littlerally flew to Sioux City (he is also a utah driver) only getting 2 aggressive drivings and yeah.  We stayed the night with the Sioux City elders.  Friday was Zone Conference, it was amazing, we got insight on how to become more concentrated missionaries, our mission has been blessed in so many different ways that we didnt even notice, therefore we have to be worthy and diligent workers to continue receiving those blessings.  After ZC we went back to Sioux Falls and did exchanges with the Zone Leaders, I went with Elder Foran, we had a member dinner/fellowship meeting for a new member moving into the ward, we tried a handful of people then ended the night doing a combined comp study from what we learned from ZC.  In the morning we helped a member move out of the boonies, aka middle of nowhere and it was fun, the house was already packed up so it made our job pretty easy.  we came home, got ready again and studied, we got lunch tired a return appointment that fell through and went to a baptism for the SF2 ward (one of my last areas) it was super sweet to see members that I use to serve and attend another baptism!  The Spirit was so strong.  The rest of Saturday we dropped off laundry and tried some more people and knocked around them, not much luck.  Sunday was pretty awesome, we had a ton of students come to church and it actually filled up the chapel, Brother Shang (recent Convert) gave a talk and it was awesome!  Riggin came to church and participated during elders quorum, all was well in the Brookings ward.  We had a YSA dinner with the Torondo family and we got to meet all the new YSA members and invited them to do missionary work and come to institute!  It will be my first time actually attending institute this week!   Well that sums up the past week, pretty awesome and Spiritual!  Love yall!
