Feb 26, 2018 When it rains it pours... Then freezes and starts over

Hey y'all, so this week has been slow...

Monday:  So our Cars were grounded due to freezing rain and we didn't have access until about 11.  Once cars were good, we spendt our day in South Omaha, which was super cool, lots of dirt cheap stuff but in a super sketchy area.  Thats why we travel in groups, we tend to scare people awake in larger groups haha.  There was a lot of small pawn shops and a sweet bakery we went to.  Lots of Ricers crusing around but not as many as Utah.  What is a Ricer you might ask?  Its a small eco car (Honda Civic) that sounds like a V8 but really its a Inline 4 with a bunch of mods to make it sound tough.  Later that night, we were driving around trying formers but weren't having any luck but I saw a moving truck with the ramp extended and the spirit guided me over there for a reason and that was to help these random people move!  So we help this family move in and set up a bed set and was able to get her info to come back!  It was awesome but super exhausting

Tuesday: Our cars were gounded again, we had a rough morning.  Our day was super slow, but we were able to teach a new investiagator!  We taught him the Restoration and he took a BofM and wants to find out for himself if its true!  The church is true y'all!  

Wednesday: Today was slow once again but we still had a good day, we went to a recent convert who stopped going to church since some family members pasted away, so this guy basically disapeared for weeks, nobody has seen him or his truck around anywhere.  Being the missionaries we were put on assinment to hunt down and find him.  We finally pinned him down in his apt.  We buzzed every single door so we could get into the building which we did!  we ran up the stairs and knocked on his door...  We waited and waited...  We knocked again and a few moments after the peep hole went dark...  (forgot to say this guy like like 6' 6" 280 lbs of pure muscle and is retired from the marines)  I was shaking in my shoes...  then the peep hole lit up and footsteps walked away.  I've never felt such failure ever in my life.  We worked so hard to come help him and we fall right at the finish line.  Hit a in the field homerun and get tagged out at home plate.  Throw a super bowl winning touchdown pass and he drops it.  It was hard for me knowing he was just on the other side of the door but having nothing to do.  Hopefully someday we can get in and help him

Thursday:  Interviews with President got cancelled... Because cars are grounded once again!  But long story short due to some unfortunate events my comp is no longer District Leader.  We tried some formers today, went to one house and a kid looked at us at point blank though the window and ran away to the room next to the front door, called his dad and said "dad there are two guys in suits knocking on the door what do I do?!?!"  Eventually we left and a truck came and cut us off as we were driving away, a guy rolled down his window and asked if we just knocked on his door?  We told him yes and who we were, he said cool and drove off.  sweet.  After that, we watched a Honda mini van try to go up a icy hill, for about 10 mins.  then a dodge car, it ended up giving up, now its up to Carol the Corolla...  We threw it in 1st and started crawling up the hill, it was long and hard and we made it.  Pieace of Cake.  y'all got shown up by a Corolla.  

Friday:  This Morning we went to Ihop with a Member breakfeast, it was good but we witnessed a guy tottally leave a girl with the bill and he was a total dirtbag to her, I was so ready to put this guy in his place but he ran away in his GMC so I'll find him at the dealership when his truck has a recall haha.  Finally we got our interviews, I was super nervous due to those events happening earlier this week, so I prayed for comfort, next thing ya know the Presidents wife comes walking out of a room and asks whats wrong?  Boom prayer anwsered.  My interview was good, my comp not so much but we'll see what happens.  District meeting was good, we had pizza and cookies with milk, afterwards we hit up Tbell and a random lady took pics of us and sent it to our moms, your welcome Mom, hope I sent it to the right number...  We had 2 dinner apointments, somehow   but we didn't want to be rude and cancel so we went to both...  Bad idea but luckly both were small meals, chicken and pizza.  

Saturday: Our cars were grounded "suprise" we were told it was going to snow so we would have a lot of serivce opportunitys but it never snowed.  We waited all day to shovel snow and it never came!  We went to our chiroprator and he opened up with us, he worked on me then I worked on him, it was great finally getting to beat him up after all these weeks of him beating on me!  lol

Sunday: Today was your normal sunday, Gospel Doc got heated, our ward mission leader made a comment and the teacher didn't like it so they went off about the fall of Adam and Eve for about 20 mins, we came to the concluion that it had to happen!  but some didn't think so.  We had a great dinner apt. today, ended with us delivering a cake to a less active family which was werid but ended up being good!
