April 9, 2018 Business is boomin!

Howdy y'all!

So this week has flown by!

Monday: P-day, just the usual, ball out with the zone, spend money on food and all that good stuff.

Tuesday: We were able to pick up 2 new investigators and guess what?!  its a family!  We weren't able to stay long cause the steak and potatoes were getting cold but it was like 8:30PM... whatever floats your goat...  But also we were able to get in contact with a less-active member who is a master wood worker!  He went in his house and it was lit!  work projects everywhere, it felt like a cabin but better!  We were able to catch up with him and share a message, but more to come next week!

Wednesday: Today was your average missionary day, not much to report on but yeah

Thursday: So district meeting was today...  We showed up early to look like good missionaries, and waited... and waited... One set of Sisters showed up but no district leader... so we gave him a buzz... turns out he changed the time of our meeting, and didn't tell anyone... Great job bro. So we bounced and went to our other appointments and showed up for the last 15 mins for it.  It was good but commutation is important people.

Friday: We went to breakfast with a member this morning and talked about Kidneys the whole time and also about diets, it was weird because we were eating unhealthy and talking about diets at the same time.  It was a good time.  We also taught a less-active this morning, read the Book of Mormon with him and helped him out, afterwards we did service at Heartland hope for a few hours, an Elder found out the hard way that keys aren't suppose to cut things like cardboard and tape.  Especially when its your church building key...  Later on Friday we finally committed a recent convert to going to the Temple!  It only took about 3 phone calls to the Temple and 6 other phone calls to align rides and what not but we're going!

Saturday: So today was pretty slow in the morning, not much happened but later today, we had a ward meeting and right after someone needed help giving a blessing to a little girl in the Hospital, but with our luck, we were an hour and a half late getting to the members house to go to the Hospital, our meeting ran way over so we missed our dinner appointment, and barely caught a ride to the Hospital!  We showed up and taught the family about the Restoration, and performed a blessing, it was so powerful with the spirit, it would of made a grown man cry, but grown men don't cry therefore, I didn't cry.  Also forgot to mention the member who gave us a ride is also less-active and moved out, and changed all of his phone numbers, but he called us!  Miracles really do happen!  He also bought a new car right before giving us a ride, a sweet 2006 Toyota Camry, with the V6, rode super smooth and had a good amount of miles on it.  It also smelled like the casinos down in Las Vegas, super sweet.  We got pizza and brownies afterwards, it was lit and spiritual.

Sunday: So our ward is just pumping out everything they are suppose to with all these changes for Conf.  They had us sit in ward council to help and report but ended up kicking us out.  lol.  We had a good meeting, we got out numbered by sister missionaries today, 3 sets showed up when we're only suppose to have 1, but yeah things were weird today.  We tried some our new investigators but turns out they have a husky dog that guards the door... so maybe next week the dog will be inside...  But we visited a returning member and talked with her outside on her porch for about an hour in the freezing cold, (by the way its still snowing out here)  had a super sweet lesson, and encouraged her to get to the Temple!  Super cool but that's my week!  Hope y'all have a great week!
