April 2, 2018 General Conf.

General Conf. already?!  Holy Crap!

So this week has flown by for me!  Lots of crazy things going on!  Teaching our investigators is so much fun!

Monday: Pday!  So for those of you that don't know, I was called to the same mission as my cousin and I finally got to meet up with her at the mission office!  Super cool blessing!

Tuesday: our investigator cancelled our Apt. so today was boring but we still got out and visited a few recent converts working toward the Temple!

Wednesday:  Today was taken up with a day long service project helping prep a house to be sold, it was tons of fun and we learned a lot too!

Thursday:  The service Project was finshed today but we ended around 7-8:30ish at night, so the people who owned the house ended up feeding us a nice dinner got us some new gear for future service projects like gloves and what not, but the owner of the house was a cop and was telling us storys about the area we were in, turns out a gang lived across the street and shootings happen pretty often around here, (don't worry mom I think I'm safe now?) haha It was another fun day

Friday:  We taught our other investigator today!  We got him to read in the Book of Mormon for the first time in 4 years!  We still got a long way to go but we're making pretty good headway for now!  We also got to see a less-active member who lives in a care center in our area, and he was such a good lesson, reading out of the Book of Mormon with him, the Spirit super strong.  Today we also had Zone Conf.  that took up 6 hours of our day... Good but long...  We also had NOMimpics today!  Its a simplified version of the Olympics, we did a sit-up, push-up, dumbell curls, ladders, basketball, and stick pulls and it was super fun, I was 9 sit-ups away from taking home the Gold but maybe next year!

Saturday:  General Conf!  So i'll be honest, this is the first time I've watched all the sessions of Conferance for as long as I can remeber, but I've been missing out on so much!  We were in charge of opening up our church building so members could watch it, we had a small turn out, it was us, and the sisters along with a lady who came to our ward, then the second session was another set of sisters replaced ours and more Elders came.  So tonight marks our fastest dinner apointment ever, about 15 mins, the family is on the other side of our area and we have to open the church building, so we were running a little late but we made it just in time for a member to join us!  Sorry High Priests....  Hope ya like Elders Quorm haha!

Sunday: Today was awesome, more conferance and tons and tons of good stuff!  Crazy stuff people, stop your home teaching and start getting to know your fellow members!  We had a better turn out for today, a couple familys and our Sisters with a couple other members, turning the break they fed us lunch and we played catch with a football in the gym with the kids, my comp got destroyed by a 10 year old kid, hahahahaha super funny to watch, this kid was just beating the crap out of him, but hey I didn't see any yellow flags on the field so play on!  The rest of Conf. was pretty sweet!  crazy things are happening people im telling you.

Hope y'all had a great Easter Weekend and have a great week!

Love Elder Phelon

Ps forgot to metion during our quick dinner on Sat. they had a super fun Blue healer named Belle, super cute dog and tons of fun but full of energy...  Knocked the wind out of my comp and while I was laughing I took the same blow my comp got to the Southern Regions if ya know what I mean...
